On a trip in a remote area of India, he was handed a Big Book in Hindi and knew just what to do

In 2005 I flew to India, and on a whim traveled north to McLeod Ganj to attend a regional AA conference. After that, I decided to book a vehicle to travel across the Himalayas. This led me to a town called Manali, from which I would hire a driver to take me to a town called Leh, close to the Chinese border.
