Write on Time!

I’ve always loved Grapevine. When a new issue comes in the mail, I eagerly rip open the envelope just to feel the new edition in my hand. Almost immediately I flip through the issue, read the cover story, and jump right into the Our Personal Stories section. The stories are timeless and make me feel at home in my own recovery. Just like at a live meeting, I can identify with the writer and say to myself, Uh huh, me too, or I’m so glad he made it! I find myself rooting for the author to get over that hurdle, to see his faith dig him out of his hole. The most important thing is the reinforcement it gives me, the contentment that only an AA story that really hits home can bring.
