This longtimer granddad has the best job in the world—“designated hitter” babysitter, and he doesn’t plan to screw it up
It took me years in AA to accept the fact that all my wife ever wanted was a sober husband. It took Al-Anon to show me that all my sons ever needed was a sober dad. And now, God has given me the most wonderful blessing of all, six of the most fantastic grandchildren ever. And I’m not biased. OK, maybe a little. These precious, innocent children also need a sober grandpa. And I don’t have plans to screw it all up now.
