When The Moment Came
It took a little time, but after watching her son’s and father’s lives change, she realized the truth
On a bitterly cold winter afternoon in February 1987 when I was living in Iowa City, Iowa, my 25-year-old son called from San Diego to tell me he was in AA and had been sober for several weeks. He wasn’t just beginning his journey in AA, he was also subtly Twelfth Stepping me. His call was my very first experience with AA.
