What’s Different This Time?

I came into the rooms at age 18, completely broken, with no idea what I was walking into. I mean, I could tell it was a room full of older men and women who were laughing—which meant they couldn’t be taking their alcohol problems all that seriously. It was an open meeting and woman twice my age spoke and I identified as much as I compared. The seed was planted and I kept coming back.
