What is Affiliation?

Last week my husband and I were watching a new TV show. Oddly enough, the whole show revolved around AA. At one point, the camera pans to the church marquee and the audience sees that a 7:00 p.m. AA meeting is listed there. There was no additional text on the sign. My inner voice said, “Hey, that’s not OK!”
