We Have Each Other

In September of 2024 Hurricane Helene dumped 40 trillion gallons of water on the American Southeast, including Western North Carolina where I live. The result was catastrophic flooding that led to over 100 deaths and 53 billion dollars in damage. My home was without power for a week and internet for two weeks, and potable water was not available until 53 days after the storm.
