Feeling defeated, a newcomer was heading straight for a beer. Luckily, a little feathered friend got in his way
I got sober in February of 2001. It wasn’t easy in the beginning. I walked around under a dark cloud for the first two years of sobriety, even though I thought I had done everything I was told to do in AA. I went to meetings, talked to my sponsor and sought outside help, but the dark cloud just wouldn’t leave.
