I was very nervous about being among groups of people when I first joined AA. I was very quiet. After I was sober for a while, my nervousness stayed with me, but I was curious about an announcement I kept hearing in my meetings about some district meeting. So I asked a friend about it. It made me curious, so I went to our district meeting for a few months in a row.
