Road Trip From Hell
With no AA, dry as the desert, a drunken boyfriend in the car and a 21-hour drive, what could possibly go wrong?
Sometime in the spring of 2000 I left my daily home group meeting and thought to myself, I need to find a new meeting. I was 15 years sober and disenchanted with my group—and AA in general. I stood up, walked out and did not even look for a new group.
