The Right Sponsor

I drank alone. I walked into my first meeting alone. I sat alone. After my first meeting, it was strongly suggested that I get a sponsor and work the Steps. I didn’t know what that meant, and the Steps on the wall made absolutely no sense to me. “How do I get a sponsor?” was all I could think to ask. “You go to meetings. When you see someone that has what you want, you ask them to sponsor you.”
