A Prayer That Works
Still skeptical of a loving God and the idea of prayer, a newcomer discovers a brand-new perspective
When I was a little girl, I believed that if I fell down and scratched my leg that meant God was punishing me for something bad I had done. I don’t know if that’s what my parents told me, but that’s what I thought. God was wrathful, angry and punishing. I carried that belief as I grew up, and I even held on to that notion some months after coming to AA.
