The Only Thing She Did Right

I’ve been on my own since I was 16. I had family, but no one was around. I had no tools to live life by or to prepare me to be an adult. I hung out with all of the wrong people and had fun for a little while until I started going out with a drug dealer at 16 and things progressively got worse. I lied, I stole, I cheated and I hallucinated. By the end, I was all alone. My friend had started going to AA and I begged her to take me to a meeting. I was so lost.
