My Relationship With God

When I came into AA I was a defiant, angry agnostic. I cringed every time I heard the word God and I thought all of you were God freaks and that AA was a cult. I tried working the Steps as a defiant agnostic and found myself not being able to have faith in a Higher Power of any type. This obviously didn’t work out very well and I’d make it 30 days then I’d pick up a drink. I’d try to work the first three Steps and would make it another 30 days or so and pick up a drink.
