My Own Backyard

I had been in AA for a number of years and shared quite often in meetings. I am Native American. When I share I often incorporate some of my ways of prayer and meditation and what I have learned about myself through the years. And although I do love being in nature, I always tell members who ask me questions that if they have to go further than their own backyard to learn about themselves, then they’ll probably never find it.
