A member shares how he and his AA friends got an LGBTQ+ meeting started in their small Pennsylvania town
When I was 17, I couldn’t wait to escape the rural community where I was raised. I grew up in a loving family and was afforded many opportunities, yet I was always searching for something newer, something bigger. I was also increasingly aware of my attraction to other men and felt that moving to the city for college would afford me the opportunity to explore this part of myself.
