Lousy Driver, Great Sponsor

We arrive at AA not on the wings of success, but after pain outweighs denial. It’s suggested that we choose a sponsor who has what we want. In early sobriety, I wanted financial stability, so I sought a sponsor with a fancy car. Not surprisingly, this criterion did not result in me staying with this sponsor for very long. He became too busy with work to continue at the pace I wanted to work the Steps.
