Late Bloomer
Late to alcoholism, early to the sobriety.
All my life I have been a late bloomer except when I was born a month early. I come from a family tree full of alcoholics so, early in my life I resolved that I could never drink. In my 20’s and 30’s I really did not have time to drink because I was working and going to college so, my drinking did not take off until my early 40’s—you could say I was a late blooming alcoholic.
