Struggling to find his Higher Power, he asked for a sign

I was in rehab for about a week and struggling with the notion of a Power greater than myself. In a peer group of seven guys and a counselor, the counselor explained that if these other guys in the room were to hold me down, that would be a Power greater than myself. I didn’t exactly buy this analogy, but I was being a little stubborn, too. A few days later while taking a walk after dinner, I looked up at the sky and said, “God if you exist give me a sign.” This was the end of October in eastern Pennsylvania. I woke up the next morning to see an inch of snow on the ground. It’s not totally out of the realm of possibility for snow this early in the season, however it had been fairly warm the day prior. As a skier, I watched snow closely and I took this as a sign. My spiritual journey began that day
