Voices from the rooms that keep us sober

I came crashing into Alcoholics Anonymous, not to get sober, but to stop the pain. I contemplated hiding out in an AA foxhole until the bullets stopped. My plan was to peek into the rooms but remain outside. I was really better than all this. I just needed a place to catch my breath. After all, I still had family, a job and some money. I decided to volunteer to become an auxiliary member. I would come late and leave early. I would hide out in the back. I would never make the coffee,
