I came crashing into Alcoholics Anonymous, not to get sober, but to stop the pain. I contemplated hiding out in an AA foxhole until the bullets stopped. My plan was to peek into the rooms but remain outside. I was really better than all this. I just needed a place to catch my breath. After all, I still had family, a job and some money.
