When my friend Craig and I were 17 and 19, we ran around together. He was a stoner, and I was a drunk. Our souls were sick, and we were just doing what we knew to make ourselves feel better. We didn’t make it as a couple. I loved him, but I knew even then that his drug addiction was a problem I just couldn’t accept.
