God Brought Me To AA

I was blessed to grow up with at least one sane parent. My mother, a struggling single parent, handed on to her two children a beautiful faith tradition, filled with deep spirituality and anchored in ideas of love, service, dignity and strength. I was given a first-class education by those who served as religious members of that tradition. I was never taught to fear God, was taught a lovely liturgical prayer life, and was given good guidelines that, had I chosen to follow them, would have allowed me the freedom to live a happy and successful life.
