Owning a restaurant meant never having to run out of alcohol

I was born in New York into a violent alcoholic family. I started drinking when I was around twelve years old, tasting drinks at my parents’ cocktail parties. I liked the way alcohol made me feel from the first drink. I continued to drink whenever I could at weddings, parties, and at family events.
