Free Like a Butterfly

In 1987, I was working for a healthcare organization that sold medical plans to companies. My job was to develop relationships with the executive offices of employer groups. I was 28 years old, and everything looked good on the outside. My demoralization from drinking was not yet visible, but eventually my “wining and dining” of clients became too much. I landed in a rehab in February of 1987.
