Coming Back, Always

I was 15 years old when I discovered alcohol and I loved the way it made me feel. I was in high school but I never went to class—I was always outside with the crowd that was drinking. But time went by and I found myself with three kids at the age of 25, with no job and no education. I managed to find a bartender job at the lounge across the street from where I lived.  Let me tell you that was the life. I would party day and night, so much so that I’d forget about my children. I did the best I could when I had a moment of clarity, but those were few and far between.
