Being Gay In AA

The journey to the rooms of AA is hard enough for those who come from standard norms. It seems more difficult for people like me, who grew up feeling (and sometimes even being told) that I was “less than” because I was born gay—and then spent years trying to overcome that feeling by out-performing all others in every aspect of life. Including drinking.
