The pain was real. His perception of his future was not
I'm sitting here reflecting on what a difficult month it has been. Four weeks ago I went in for minor surgery to repair a hernia. A friend in the program who had the same hernia repair done told me it was going to be nothing. He said he didn't even take the pain pills they prescribed him.
